My special thanks to Shaun Tompson for coming out to support Trestles. I don't usually get star struck, but Shaun is a true legend of our sport, a real gentleman, and someone I really look up to.

P.T. - Cool as ever! It was awesome to see how humble the icons of surfing are.

In the center of this picture is Greg Long. San Clemente's Big Wave Charger. He never misses a swell...except to help Save Trestles. Way to go, Greg!

Both the Hobgoods were in attendance. I am pretty sure this is Damian. Thanks for coming out, guys.

Skip and Donna Frye. Surfing legends in business and politics.

That would be Taylor Knox. It was killer to see all the pro's that have their priorities straight.

Matt Beecham getting ready to film a little New Pollution for Fuel TV.

Matt with another rising star.

Holly Beck, Kyla Langen, and friend showin' some support. Thanks, ladies.

This was early in the morning. People kept arriving like this until lunch time. Thanks to everyone for dedicating their time to this important cause.

Sally the Steelhead!

I was shocked at the wide variety of people that showed up, not just surfers...and this guy was not the youngest.

There was a lot of creativity on display February 6, 2008.

Best sign of the day! The picture is of Arnold accepting a surfboard given to him in appreciation for his support of Trestles. He later turned on us. Not cool, Arnold, not cool at all. How is that hydrogen highway coming, anyway?

The anti-TCA twins.

I don't think this was her first protest...

But, I know it was Callie's first and she had a great time.
For the moment, Trestles is safe. However, the proponents of 241 are not planning on giving up, so I have added this page to show my support for Trestles and to help others understand the importance of this decision.

Why Stop 241?
San Onofre State Park is the 5th most visited park in the state of California.
State Parks are the only thing stopping 100% development of our coast. This land is NOT FOR SALE.
San Onofre State Park is home to 11 endangered species.
Building would ruin the surf breaks at the end of the canyon, including Uppers, Lowers, Church's, Old Man's, etc. This would not only affect local surfers, but would certainly cost us some portion of the revenue earned from the surf industry and tourism.
If built, the 241 would only serve to bring more traffic to the coast and through San Diego. No Thanks.
