get wood here...

This is board number 17.  It was my attempt to replicate a balsa board with redwood stringers.  Of course, it is made entirely from Cedar and Pine.  Original Price $1900.  Reduced to $1700.

Not only does it have a classic look, but a classic feel as well.  9'8" x 21 1/4" x 2 5/8"

This board weight 24 1/2 lbs.

A classic fin for a classic longboard. These pics were taken at Campgrounds.

Board 16 at Pipes.  It measures 6'5 1/2" x 17 15/16" x 2 1/2" and weighs 12 lbs.  Original Price $1280.  Reduced to $1150.

Bottom of Board 16.  My tribute to the single-fin Lightening Bolts made by Gerry Lopez.  I call it the Charger...locals should get it.

The nose on board 16 got a little extra attention.

Board 13, for some odd reason, gave me a few headaches along the way.  But, the finished product came out great.  7'9" x 21 1/4" x 2 1/4, 18 lbs.  See this board in person at Clairemont Surf Shop.  Originally $1700.  Buy it now for $1550.

Board 12 is an egg with a gripping tri-fin set up.  7'3" x 21 1/2" x 2 1/8, 16 1/2 lbs.  Original Price $1550.  Reduced to $1450.

This is board 9, a 9'0" single-fin that weighs 22 lbs.  The picture was taken at South Ponto.  It is 21 1/2" wide and 2 1/2" thick.  Original Price $1800.  Reduced to $1725.

  • Karma Surfboards is about producing beautiful boards from a renewable resource, while combining new techniques with old school style.  It turns out that these planet friendly boards are not only beautiful, but might just be the best ride of your life.  Because they are hollow, these boards only weigh about 25% more than a comparable foam model.  The additional weight makes them faster, increases their stability, and helps you glide through chop on the windier days.  You will be able to catch the wave sooner, hold your line better, and hang ten like never before.

These are the boards that are currently available.  Please let me know if you have any questions.

The Advantages of Wood

Earth Friendly Renewable Resource

Stronger and More Durable than foam

Naturally Beautiful

A little extra weight adds speed and stabilty, which allows for excellent nose-riding.

Warning about the Vent Screw

Because these boards are hollow and made from real wood, they all have an air hole built into them called a vent screw.  Proper use of the vent screw is very important!  It should only be screwed in place when surfing to keep the boards water tight.  If water leaks into the boards, they do warp.  Take the vent screw out after surfing or the air inside can heat up, expand, and cause severe damage.  I also recommend letting the air out after 2 hours of surfing.  Stach one on the beach, let the air out, and paddle right back out.
