Building the Blank...

Bottom planks already glued together.

These planks are 1/4" thick.

Measure the length and height of the ribs.

Cut slots in stringer and ribs to glue frame together. Drill holes out to decrease weight and to allow for proper air flow.

Glue the frame together.

Here is what the frame looks like after it is glued together.

Glue the frame to the bottom planks using the rocker table.

Frame is now attached to the bottom planks.

Attach nose and tail inserts and the first rail.

Add inserts for leash plug.

Time for the second rail.

More rails...

Second insert for the nose.

Done with the rails at last!

Plane the top of the rails flat to give yourself a flat gluing surface for the top planks.

About ready to attach the top.

Let it set overnight.

This is where it gets exciting! Off the rocker table for the second time and almost a blank.

The completed surfboard blank is now ready to shape.
Shaping the board and fin(s)...

Plane the sides down to the desired shape.

Now it is time to get the sanders out.

Keep sanding...

Ready to burn the logo on and take it to SSG!

Don't forget a fin. Choosing which one is usually the hardest part for me.

The board in the pics above is No. 23 and is getting this classic sunburst fin.

The finished product!
I took these pictures to help answer some of the questions that people ask about the boards. Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words, right?
